CIRMA - Centrum Inisiatif Rakyat Mandiri
CIRMA, established on May 18, 2018, is a grassroots organization passionately dedicated to combating extreme poverty in urban slums, suburban areas, and rural regions. We currently operate at a subnational level, specifically in the West Timor region of East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia. Our journey begins by identifying impoverished communities and recognizing the struggles of marginalized groups to survive with dignity. Beyond addressing fundamental aspects like water and sanitation, we are committed to climate initiatives, enhancing resilience, mitigating risks, and promoting sustainable agriculture. Recognizing the intersectionality of poverty and climate challenges, we aim to boost community resilience against climate change impacts. Our initiatives align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on providing clean water and sanitation, notably through well drilling and hygienic latrine construction. We extend efforts by incorporating agricultural adaptations, empowering communities to address changing environmental conditions. Through education, resource allocation, and sustainable farming practices, our goal is to build resilience and mitigate climate change impacts on livelihoods. Our vision: Empower communities through impactful small-scale initiatives, creating a world where every individual, regardless of their condition, has access to fundamental resources for a dignified life. We Catalyze positive change through small-scale initiatives addressing needs such as clean water, sanitation, climate resilience, and agricultural adaptation in marginalized communities. Aim to uplift lives, promote sustainable development, and foster resilience. In our commitment to serving underserved communities, we are guided by core values that include empowerment, compassion, collaboration, innovation, and integrity.
